So you know how occasionally, or like, every day, you’ll get in a YouTube hole and all of a sudden you are watching a tutorial on how to shave your legs without a razor?
Yeah, well, this happened to me yesterday, but with 20-minute long skincare videos. Anyway, I was watching a video posted by Allure where Dr. Shereene Idriss chats about what she does to her skin on the daily and every now and then treatments.
Fast forward to 13:13 in the video and you will see the face mask that she does before a big event.
I decided I wanted to try this mask because it’s literally Dr. recommended.
It is DIY and only contains ONE ingredient and I guarantee you have it in your fridge. Unless you’re vegan or something.
EGGS.
Super gross I know. I get grossed out eating eggs sometimes, so I don’t know why putting them on my face sounded like a good idea. But it’s only the egg whites.
So basically she whisks the egg whites and massages it into her face and leaves it on until it completely dries.
What you will need to try this mask

A bowl, egg whites (I used two and it was way too much), and a makeup brush to apply.
In the video she uses latex gloves and applies it to her skin, but I felt using a brush would make for an easier and less messy application process. I was right.
What to do
After you have mixed up the egg whites take your bowl and head over to the bathroom counter and apply to your skin with the brush.
As long as your skin is fully covered, you should be all set.
Annnnd, that’s it.
I left mine on for about 15 minutes and then rinsed it off with cool water and patted dry.
Results
So Dr. Shereene Idriss said that her skin looks “flawless” after she does the mask. If you watch the video, you will see she has flawless skin to start with literally no blemishes or anything, she looks like she was facetuned.
Well, I have skin biopsy scars, random red dots, freckles, and a few pimples so I was nowhere near “flawless,” BUT I was really impressed with the results.

So the left is before and the right is after. I promise there hasn’t been any filters or editing done, I just am naturally sooooooo awkward in photos.
OK so obviously pimples and other random blemishes didn’t magically disappear with one 15-minute egg white face mask, but I do see some drastic results.
My skin looks super glowy and healthy. When I look up close, it looks like my skin is matte, like I covered it in primer (I didn’t).
Also, it is SO soft. Lucas touched my forehead and was like damn, that’s a smooth ass forehead. He didn’t actually say that. But he was impressed.
Not only was it soft, but it felt tighter like I had a snatched pony tail in pulling my face back. Girls, you know what I mean.
Overall, I would totally recommend trying this mask out. It costs one egg and 15 minutes of time.
If you try it out, DM me/comment and let me know what you thought of it!
Also hit me up if you have any products/brands you want me to try out or if you have any questions on this mask!
I’m gonna go now and caress my soft forehead.
Thanks for stopping by ☆

Strangely, I thought the yolks would be more beneficial; interesting it is the egg whites!
